Washington Soccer Federation Recreational Coaching Philosophy: Washington Soccer Federation's recreational coaching philosophy centers around enjoyment, game knowledge, and development, both as players and individuals, as focal points. Derived from Washington Soccer Federation’s Mission Statement; “To provide a safe, non-discriminatory environment for players to develop their soccer skills while learning traditional values of hard work, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. ”, it is the goal of every Washington Soccer Federation coach to ensure that every player has a positive, exciting, instructive, & character-building experience. It is the goal of Washington Soccer Federation's recreational program to teach young individuals about the rules and game-play involved with the game. Ultimate progression would be for individuals to take their knowledge gained from the recreational program and apply it to an experience with the competitive travel program.
